Frequently asked questions
Last updated: May 30, 2026
These are the questions we get most often. If yours isn’t here, write to hello@webspin.com and we’ll answer it (and probably add it here for the next person).
The basics
What is Webspin, exactly?
We’re an AI-driven design studio. We use information that’s already public about your business — what you do, where you’re located, what your reviews say — to design a complete website for you, on spec, before you ever talk to us. If you like it, you can buy it. If you don’t, one click takes it down.
Is this a subscription?
No. The website is a one-time purchase of $399. You pay once and the files are yours; there’s no recurring charge unless you opt into a hosting plan later (and we’ll never sneak one in).
Do I own the site I buy?
You get a non-exclusive perpetual license to the design + code — you can host it anywhere, modify it, hand it to a developer, do whatever you want with it. We keep the right to use the same design patterns in other sites we make (the tools and AI systems are ours), but the specific site we built for you is yours to keep. The full details are in our Terms of Service.
How much does it cost?
$399, paid once, including the design, the code, and a clean handoff of the files. No upsells. Optional hosting is a separate decision if you want it.
The website itself
Can I edit it?
Yes — once you buy it, the source files are yours, so any web developer can update copy, add pages, change images, etc. Before you buy, you can ask us to make changes too: text edits, structural tweaks, different photos. We’d rather get it right than have you bounce.
What if I don’t like it?
Before you buy: tell us what’s off and we’ll redo it, or click “Not for me” on the preview and we take it down. After you buy: you have 14 days to ask for a full refund, no questions asked. Full terms in our Refund Policy.
Where did you get the information for my site?
Publicly available sources only — your name, location, services, and reviews from places like Google Maps. We don’t scrape anything that isn’t already indexed, and we don’t use any data behind a login. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Will it match my brand?
The first design is our best read of your business from public information — which usually gets the tone, palette, and structure close enough to recognize, but not perfect on the first try. Ask for revisions before you buy and we’ll dial in colors, imagery, copy, anything you want.
Logistics
How long is my preview link active?
Previews stay live for as long as you’re engaging with them. If a preview goes 60 days without anyone looking at it, we take it down automatically — we don’t want to leave drafts of someone else’s business sitting on the internet indefinitely. If you come back later and want a fresh look, just ask.
Will my preview show up in search results?
No. Every preview is marked “do not index” for search engines, and the URL is unguessable. Only people you (or we) share the link with will find it.
Can I get my own domain on the site?
Yes. After you buy, we can set up the DNS to point your existing domain at the site, or help you register a new one. Either path is included in the purchase — no separate setup fee.
I want changes after I’ve bought it. Can you make them?
For the first 30 days, yes — tell us what you’d like and we’ll redo the affected pages. After 30 days, you (or any developer) can edit the source files yourself, or you can hire us for a separate maintenance engagement.
About us
Who’s behind Webspin?
Webspin is a Texas LLC based in Austin. We’re a small operation that uses AI to do at scale what a freelance designer used to do one-at-a-time. We don’t pretend to be a person — the AI does the design, and a human handles the customer conversations. Both happen under one name: Webspin.
How do I contact you?
Email hello@webspin.com for anything general, support@webspin.com for help with an existing order, or use the “Contact” link in the footer.
